Texas tuning shop Hennessey Performance has made a name for itself by taking production cars and making them absolutely bonkers. One of the most ambitious projects taken on lately is a homebrewed concoction known as the Venom F5. It builds off the Venom GT, which was the only production car that was faster than the Bugatti Veyron, when it was revealed. Hennessy Special Vehicles unveiled its much-awaited Venom F5 hypercar at the SEMA Show, and the beast dubbed "America's Hypercar" is making big promises. Hennessey is reiterating its plan for the forthcoming Venom F5 to top 300 miles per hour, and founder John Hennessey thinks 311 mph could be possible eventually.
The Venom F5 packs twin-turbo, 7.6-liter aluminum V8 produces an astounding 1,800 horsepower and 1,617 Nm of torque, giving it a top speed of 301 miles per hour. Acceleration will be quick: from 0 to 186 mph in less than 10 seconds and 0 to 249 and back to rest in less than 30 seconds. Hennessey will build only 24 units of the Venom F5 at a price of $1.6 million each. Twelve of them are for the United States, and the rest are available to international customers.
