Lamborghini Essenza SCV12: With 830 Hp Just for the Track

The Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 is a track-only sports car manufactured by Italian automobile manufacturer Lamborghini under their Squadra Corse racing division. Introduced in July 2020, it is the most powerful and the last purely naturally aspirated car built by the brand. The car's aggressive design language helps it generate downforce equivalent to a GT3 racing car. The front splitter and a large rear wing aids in providing downforce. The result of the technical package is a car capable of offering maximum agility and at the same time the maximum stability, as well as extreme driving pleasure even on the most demanding circuits. The car is 136 kg lighter than the Aventador SVJ and features a FIA approved carbon composite crash structure and a carbon fiber monocoque which is the first to be homologated without the use of metal. The Essenza SVC12 is also the first car to be developed according to the FIA prototype safety rules.

The SCV12 is equipped with the most powerful naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 ever developed by Lamborghini, capable of exceeding 830 Hp. The V12’s power will be discharged to the ground by a new six-speed gearbox, derived from the one fitted on the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO combined with only rear-wheel drive. Thanks to the new carbon fiber chassis, the car has a power-to-weight ratio of 1.66 hp per kg and generates downforce of 1,200 kg at 249 km/h. just 40 of these Essenzas will be built, each costing between £1.8m and £2.7m each. Customers, however, will get access to a "very exclusive club" and various driving programs around the world.
