Zermatt, Switzerland

Zermatt is a municipality in the district of Visp in the German-speaking section of the canton of Valais in Switzerland.
It lies at the upper end of Mattertal at an elevation of 1,620 m, at the foot of Switzerland's highest peaks.
Zermatt is famed as a mountaineering and ski resort of the Swiss Alps. The winter awaits plenty of snow, grippy pistes, and gorgeous winter sunshine. There’s no better time to make the most of Europe’s highest ski resort.
Much of the local economy is based on tourism. That’s why the district’s main job is the hotel.
