2021 Lexus LC Convertible

The Lexus LC is a grand tourer manufactured by Lexus, Toyota's luxury division. Based on the 2012 LF-LC Concept, it was revealed at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. According to Lexus, the name "LC" stands for "Luxury Coupe". The LC 500 Convertible, based on the concept car, was unveiled at the LA Auto Show on November 20, 2019. Numerous carbon fiber components are offered on the high-performance LC. The lightweight roof further lowers the vehicle's center of gravity. Its four-layer soft top roof can be operated at speeds of up to 50 km/h (30 mph). Lexus says that the LC500 convertible's top opens in 15 seconds and closes back up in 16 and that the convertible model has the same driving dynamics as the coupe because of the addition of structural braces.

The cabin design and layout are nearly identical to that of the coupe's, however, engineers did make a few adjustments, such as reducing wind noise with a uniquely shaped beltline and rear molding to stop the wind from entering. Also, it has an advanced climate system that adapts to your body temperature in real-time. Under that long hood lies the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 with 471 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. Power is directed to the rear wheels only through a 10-speed automatic transmission. Lexus has yet to provide performance specs, but the convertible does offer a specially tuned suspension, improved chassis rigidity, and a reduction of unsprung weight in the front suspension that improves overall stroke.
