The Apollo Intensa Emozione, Italian Supercar

The Apollo Intensa Emozione pulls out all of the stops when it comes to styling. The name is Italian for “intense emotion,” which is fitting given the insane look of the car, and its raw character.

Thanks to a carbon fiber chassis and bodywork, that V12 also doesn’t have that much weight to lug around. Apollo says the Intensa Emozione weighs just 2,756 pounds. Zero to 60 mph happens in just 2.7 seconds, according to Apollo, and the top speed is 208 mph.

Unlike every other hypercar launching of late, the Apollo doesn’t use turbochargers or superchargers or a super-advanced hybrid powertrain (they’re ‘emotionally dilutive,’ according to Apollo).

Its bold and striking body is inspired by the design of tactile fighter jets as well as the shape of sharks and raptors, featuring a narrow teardrop-shaped widescreen, shark-like nose, side aero fins and large angled wing mounts. On the rear, the entire design is accentuated by the brand’s signature trident exhaust.

Speaking of noise, the triplet exhaust is a 3D laser-printed item that costs, in Choi’s words, “more than a whole BMW M4". The engine compartment lined with heat-reflective gold leaf. The pushrod suspension is fully adjustable.

Apollo has rounded up a young team to create the IE. Norman Choi himself is just 45. His chief aerodynamicist is 23. The chief designer is a 27-year old Brit.

Apollo plans to build just 10 Intensa Emoziones, priced at 2.3 million euros (about $2.7 million) each.
